What is CompTIA A+?
CompTIA A+ is a certification that demonstrates a solid understanding of computer repair and maintenance. Having a CompTIA A + certification shows you know how to troubleshoot and solve problems with computer hardware and software. By obtaining this certification, you prove that you have the skills needed for jobs where you assist people with fixing their computers, setting up networks, and ensuring everything operates smoothly.
Additionally, CompTIA A+ can be a stepping stone for those interested in a cybersecurity career. With this certification, you gain foundational knowledge that can lead to more advanced cybersecurity certifications and roles.
- Be a resident of one of the following counties: Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe and Orange
- Be 18 when the program starts on October 1, 2024
Class will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-7:00 pm, from October 1st through through December 10th in each county's designated location.
This training has a value of $1,679. If you are accepted into the program, your tuition will be 100% covered by Code/IT Academy. We'll also cover the cost of taking the certification exam.

The Process
Step 1: Application
Students complete an application form, providing information on their background, skills, and career goals.
Step 2: Review & Placement
Applications are reviewed to confirm eligibility. Students are matched with a pathway.
Step 3: 10-Week Training
Students complete training online or in person. Career development workshops and one-on-one coaching are completed.
Step 4: Certification
Students complete the corresponding certification exam. This should happen within a month of training.
Step 5: Graduation
Our cohorts graduate and move on to either job placement or continue in the next step of their pathway!
