What is CompTIA IT Fundamentals?
CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) is a beginner-level certification that teaches basic computer and technology skills. It covers how computers work, troubleshooting problems, keeping devices safe, and using software and networks. This certification is perfect for people interested in starting a career in IT, helping you decide if the IT field is right for you before diving into more advanced topics.
- Be a resident of one of the following counties: Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe and Orange
- Be 18 when the program starts on February 18, 2025
Class will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-7:00 pm, from February 18 through April 8 in each county's designated location.
This training has a value of $1,679. If you are accepted into the program, your tuition will be 100% covered by Code/IT Academy. We'll also cover the cost of taking the certification exam.

After completing the CompTIA IT Fundamentals course, you can pursue entry-level IT roles such as IT support specialist, help desk technician, or technical support representative. You will receive support from an experienced instructor, career coach, and a county specific on-site facilitator.
The Process
Step 1: Application
Students complete an application form, providing information on their background, skills, and career goals.
Step 2: Review & Placement
Applications are reviewed to confirm eligibility for the course applied to.
Step 3: 10-Week Training
Students complete training online or in person. Career development workshops and one-on-one coaching are completed.
Step 4: Certification
Students complete the corresponding certification exam. This should happen within a month of training.
Step 5: Graduation
Our cohorts graduate and move on to either job placement or continue in the next step of their pathway!
